Janette Norkko
Janette's dance journey began at the Dance School of the Estonian Dance Agency and continued to the choreography department of Tallinn University. At the same time, he has developed himself under both Estonian and foreign choreographers such as Ricky Jinks, Julia Spiesser and Ainsley Hall Ricketts. After finishing university, Janette stayed longer in London, where she received more individual and intensive training in Lukas McFarlane's SEEDS program and in his other activities for several seasons. Also, Janette's dance handwriting developed while studying different dance styles in dance studios in London. When creating movement, he lets himself be guided by feeling and considers it very important to develop a personal language of movement and the ability to interpret - therefore, he does not want to fit his own dance handwriting into a specific dance style. What do you consider important in dance lessons? Janette considers it important to develop a safe and healthy environment in dance lessons, so that every student also has the opportunity and courage to develop their own language of movement. At the same time, he likes to offer challenges to chew through in order to work both as a team and individually for a common goal.
