What does Marianne consider important in dance classes?
’It is important to me that students feel safe in my classes and are open and willing to experiment, discover and develop.
In the classes we work on learning dance technique, improvisation and different choreographies, as well as developing creativity through a variety of tasks. Above all, my aim is for students to enjoy dance, to have fun and to find their own language of movement. I also introduce movements from other dance styles into show dance. In class, we work with emotions and movement styles. In contemporary dance, we work with different movement qualities and levels, as well as incorporate many technical elements into the choreography.’
