What does Kati Ly consider important in her work?
As a children's dance teacher, Kati Ly thinks it is important that children get a positive emotion from every class. Kati believes it is vital to create positive active habits in children, and her classes are based on the principle of ’learning by playing and playing by learning’. It is essential to move towards the developmental goals set for the group through varied and playful exercise.
Kati believes that the BEST way to build active habits is through the example of the parent.
It is also important for a child to learn from an early age, through a hobby group or a class, that movement always makes you feel better and can alleviate many worries.
As a teacher of show dance for young people, Kati Ly appreciates unity – in her coreography, she highlights the importace of unity. The music, the lyrics or the message of the story, the movements and the costumes need to be age-appropriate and all of the above components should support the idea of the dance.
